Colina Branca is situated on the coast, about 40 minutes drive west from Faro Airport and three hours south from Lisbon, the small town of Carvoeiro still retains the character and tradition of Portuguese life.

Accommodation
Just 5 minutes walking distance from this lively little fishing town, Colina Branca is the perfect base for your holiday on the beautiful Algarve, with local bars, restaurants, tennis courts, supermarkets and beaches only minutes away, in addition to Pestana Golf Centre being a few minutes’ driving distance.
These individually owned townhouses are situated on a tranquil elevated position enjoying splendid sea and countryside views from their roof terrace and spacious balconies, and are only metres from the large communal swimming pool and lush landscaped gardens.
Car hire is recommended, and each townhouse has a car port for your use. For those not wishing to drive,we can arrange transfers from Faro airport to the accommodation. Each house has either satellite or cable TV.

Some of the townhouses have a third bed in one of the bedrooms, or a sofa bed. In some of the townhouses, there is also a windowless bedroom having an additional one or two beds. This room is suitable for children. All houses comfortably sleep up to 4 adults. Some of the townhouses sleep an additional one or two persons, but please note the additional sleeping arrangements are for children. These houses are not suitable for 6 adults.

Outside
Both bedrooms 1 and 2 have their own terraced patio areas. The roof terrace offers privacy and an excellent spot to sunbathe or simply watch the sun go down over the Atlantic. The living room terrace is sheltered and South facing, with a superb view over Carvoeiro and the ocean. Colina Branca has its own private landscaped gardens in addition to the communal swimming pool. The gardens and pool areas are all lit at night. Please note there is no swimming permitted after 8pm.
Coast/Beach
There are some wonderful beaches close by. In addition to the beach at Carvoeiro, within 5 minutes drive are Praia de Marina, Benagil, Caravalho, Albandera. Centianes beach is approx. 15 minutes walk away. The coastline is spectacular with great views and great cliff walks.
Golf
Vale do Milho 9 hole par 3 course is very close by. The Nick Price/David Leadbetter, Pestana Golf Resort (Vale do Pinta and Gramacho) is 10 minutes drive. The Henry Cotton Penina and Alto Club Championship Courses, Salgados Links, Palmares and the new Golf Do Morgardo courses are all within a 20 minutes drive. Discounted green fees and special packages are available on many courses.
Travel
Carvoeiro is approx. 40 minutes easy drive along the coastal motorway (toll free) from Faro Airport. Care hire is recommended in order to visit many interesting places.
Distances
There are supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops a few minutes walk away in the centre of Carvoeiro. The big supermarket, Intermaché, on the road to Lagoa is a few minutes’ drive.
Further details
The nearest big supermarket to Colina Branca is Intermarche – only 3 or 4 minutes’ drive away. This offers a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats and fish and just about everything else you will need to make your holiday easier. However, there is a small supermarket (and off-licence) just 3 or 4 minutes walk away in the centre of Carvoeiro for all emergency essentials and fresh bread and pastries. Cash point machines and banks are available in Carvoeiro.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible to suit flights etc. Arrival is after 2pm and departure before 10am on any changeover days. However we will try to be as flexible as possible.

All Colina Branca townhouses are individually owned. Many of the owners have had some types of modernisation carried out in their houses, to varying degrees.
Traditional
Some owners prefer to retain the original bathrooms or kitchens, some still have traditional style furniture. They may or may not have English TV. This has been reflected in the lower prices. In the current economic climate, these houses represent excellent value for money.
Standard Price
These houses have had some form of modernisation to the kitchen, bathroom or en suite, and also modern furnishings. Most of these also have English TV, but do request this if it is a particular requirement.
De Luxe
One or two houses have had extra modernisation works and new furnishings; another house has the benefit of overlooking the pool. The owners have accordingly increased their prices to reflect this.
Booking notes
A £100 booking deposit is required at time of booking and an additional returnable £150 breakage deposit is also required at this stage. 8 weeks before your stay the final balance is necessary, and you will receive directions and information on how to access your accommodation. There is an information folder for guests use in each house. This contains a comprehensive guide to the area, restaurants, places of interest and emergency telephone numbers. |
