Accommodation
Situated in undulating countryside, the villa enjoys spectacular panoramic views overlooking the valley of the River Arade. The surrounding area is tranquil, the nearest neighbours being locals who grow their own fruit and keep goats, dogs, horses and chickens. There is a coffee bar in the village and horse riding stables nearby. Only 5 minutes drive is the town of Silves with it's ancient red stone castle, cathedral and architecture steeped in history, as well as an array of restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets. Beyond that is the Monchique mountain, with fantastic views and traditional restaurants.
The lounge is a large double aspect room with comfy leather sofas, air conditioning, a selection of books, and sliding patio doors opening out to a covered sun terrace with steps leading down to the large private safety-gated swimming pool and enclosed gardens. There is a fully fitted air conditioned kitchen and dining room, with granite surfaces and equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. The property also benefits from free wi-fi internet access.
There are 3 spacious bedrooms, all with air conditioning - one double bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and the further twin bedded rooms share the family shower room. Within the gardens is a separate Chalet annexe comprising of fitted 4th double bedroom with air conditioning and en-suite shower room.
Car hire, which we can arrange, is essential.

BEDROOM 1 is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, air conditioning and en-suite shower room. BEDROOM 2 is a twin bedroom with air conditioning, and overlooking the garden. BEDROOM 3 is a twin bedroom with air conditioning . CHALET ANNEXE double bedroom with air conditioning and en-suite shower room.

All bed linen and towels are provided and will be changed on a regular basis. A mid-week maid/cleaning service is provided.
Outside
The villa has a safety-gated swimming pool, with roman steps, and a surrounding terrace perfect for sunbathing with superb panoramic views of the countryside. There is also a large south facing covered terrace area for lounging and barbecue for al fresco dining, and the garden is fully enclosed.
Coast/Beach
The beaches of Carvoeiro, Armação de Pera, Ferragudo are within 15 minutes drive, with many other coves and beaches all very close by.
Golf
The new Amendoeira Golf Course and Nick Price/David Leadbetter Pestana Golf Resort are just 10 minutes drive. The Henry Cotton Penina and Alto Club Championship Courses, Salgados Links, Palmares and the new Golf Do Morgardo courses are all within a 25 minutes drive. Discounted green fees and special packages are available on many courses.
Distances
The historic town of Silves is approx. 5 minutes driving distance by car where there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops. Two big water parks (Slide and Splash and Aqualand) are within 15 minutes drive, and Zoo Marine for the whole family within 20 minutes drive. The Algarve Shopping Centre at Guia, just 25 minutes drive away, offers great High Street shops, cinemas and restaurants.

As a small family business we look after a few villas in the area. We live locally, and know the area extremely well. We will provide you with detailed directions to the villa before your arrival. We meet and greet you, and provide you with local information and organise taxi or/and a car hire. We look after our guests and make sure that everything is in order in the villa.
Should you arrive after 9 pm we leave a food pack (milk, tea bags, butter, bread, water) for you. Baby cot and high chair are provided by prior arrangement. We also have reliable English babysitters who will care for your children during the daytime or evening if you should require some time without the kids! Please ask for details.

We had a great stay here. The villa and pool were fantastic and the way it is set up makes it great for families with children.The villa is set in a very peaceful area and not at all overlooked. It is also well located and the majority of places we visited were only a short drive away. Prices & Availability
Prices shown are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Prices shown above are for up to 6 people sharing the main villa. For one or two extra people staying in the wooden chalet annexe there is a £100 per week supplement.
Stays of any duration, minimum 4 nights, are acceptable. Please enquire regarding any length of stay we can offer. In the Winter period, we offer special prices for long term stays.
All bookings between 01 November and 31 March are subject to an additional charge for electricity.
Please note, there is an additional charge of £75 per week for the air conditioning. Air conditioning inside the wooden chalet annexe is a further £25 per week.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Check in time is 2pm / Check out time is 10am.
Booking notes
A holding deposit of £250 (non-refundable) is required to reserve your booking. The balance is required 8 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £300 (fully-refundable) is required, pre-paid for any breakages or damage, which shall be returned on your return from holiday providing no damage has occurred.
