Accommodation
This privately-owned apartment is situated on a tranquil elevated position with a sea view and overlooks the communal swimming pool.
The spacious, attractive living/dining room is comfortably furnished to a high standard, with Sky Free-to-air TV, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for your stay.
Both bedrooms are a good size, and have a light and airy feel. The double bedroom benefits from it's own en-suite bathroom.
Situated on the coast, about 40 minutes drive west from Faro Airport and three hours south from Lisbon, the small town of Carvoeiro still retains the character and tradition of Portuguese life. Just 5 minutes walking distance from this lively little fishing town, Monte Dourado is the perfect base for your holiday on the beautiful Algarve, with local bars, restaurants, tennis courts, supermarkets and beaches only minutes away, in addition to Pestana Golf Centre being a few minutes’ driving distance.
Car hire is not essential.
We can arrange airport transfers for those wishing to take a break from driving, you will find everything you need for an enjoyable holiday within easy walking distance of the apartment.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service
Linen and bath towels are included in rental costs. These are changed twice a week when the villa is cleaned.
Outside
There are two communal pools to the rear of the apartment, one being a children’s pool. There is a sunbathing terrace, and there are tennis courts nearby. The apartment is located on a hill, so car hire may be necessary for anyone with mobility problems. Please note swimming is not permitted after 8pm.
Coast/Beach
There are some wonderful beaches close by. In addition to the beach at Carvoeiro, within 5 minutes drive are Praia de Marina, Benagil, Caravalho, Albandera. Centianes beach is approx. 15 minutes walk away. The coastline is spectacular with great views and great cliff walks.
Golf
Vale do Milho 9 hole par 3 course is very close by. The Nick Price/David Leadbetter, Pestana Golf Resort (Vale do Pinta and Gramacho) is 10 minutes drive. The Henry Cotton Penina and Alto Club Championship Courses, Salgados Links, Palmares and the new Golf Do Morgardo courses are all within a 20 minutes drive. Discounted green fees and special packages are available on many courses.
Location
Carvoeiro is approx. 40 minutes easy drive along the coastal motorway from Faro Airport. Care hire is recommended in order to visit many interesting places.
A short walk from this property is the bustling town of Carvoeiro with a fabulous selection of restaurants and bars (English babysitter available), and a choice of beautiful beaches and fabulous clifftop walks. There are many banks and cash withdrawal machines, and three golf courses are within 5 minutes drive.The big supermarket, Intermaché, on the road to Lagoa is a few minutes’ drive.
Visit Monchique mountain or the reservoir for stunning scenery and restaurants, where you can eat a 3 course meal with wine and coffee for under €10!
Two big water parks (Slide and Splash and Aqualand) are within 10 minutes drive, and Zoo Marine for the whole family within 20 minutes drive. The Algarve Shopping Centre also 20 minutes drive with its great High Street shops and restaurants as well.

Our friendly English speaking staff are on hand to welcome you, assist you when necessary and recommend places to visit.
As a small family business we look after a few villas in the area. We live locally, and know the area extremely well. We will provide you with detailed directions to the villa before your arrival. We meet and greet you, and provide you with local information and organise taxi or/and a car hire. We look after our guests and make sure that everything is in order in the villa.
Should you arrive after 9 pm we leave a food pack (milk, tea bags, butter, bread, water) for you. Baby cot and high chair are provided by prior arrangement. We also have reliable English babysitters who will care for your children during the daytime or evening if you should require some time without the kids! Please ask for details.

Check in time is 2pm / Check out time is 10am.
Booking notes
A holding deposit of £100 (non-refundable) is required to reserve your booking. The balance is required 8 weeks prior to departure. A security deposit of £150 (fully-refundable) is required, pre-paid for any breakages or damage, which shall be returned on your return from holiday providing no damage has occurred.
